Today was my first day to sell jewelry. I was very nervous this morning, driving my wares over to a farmers market in Stevenson, Wa. I had the only table that was not home grown produce. I wasn't sure if I would be accepted by the group of vendors, but all my fears and apprehensions were dismissed within a few minutes of my arrival.
Here was my first moment of introduction. I stepped out of my car, with my handcrafted display, that held 33 pairs of earrings. The traffic in both directions stopped for me. This is the main street of Stevenson. A big wind hit at the moment I was in the middle of the street and blew all of my earrings off of the display. So....no traffic could go, the cars and semi's were about 10 cars deep. To my amazement, and relief, all of the other vendors immediately saw my dilema, and ran out into the street and picked up my jewelry for me. I was very humbled, and appreciative of their generous spirit!!!!!
I had a great morning getting to know my newfound friends, and the people that came to my table were very warm, and enjoyed seeing the jewelry I had brought.
